Led tube lights are getting more popular. And from the first sight it seems a led light is nothing more as the same as a traditional bulb. But nothing is less true as this. A led light is a complicated piece of electronic components which co-operate with each other to make the led light work.

Een nieuwe manier van rechtspreken

Het internet is volop in beweging. Steeds meer ontwikkelaars erkennen dat de mogelijkheden nog lang niet zijn uitgewerkt en blijven bezig om nieuwe toepassingen te ontwikkelen waarvoor het internet uitermate geschikt is.

Eén van de nieuwe mogelijkheden is het digitaal rechtspreken.

Je moet er maar op komen maar als je het goed beschouwd dan is het zelfs vreemd dat het tot 2009 heeft geduurd alvorens de eerste stappen zijn gezet in de richting van het internet rechtspreken.

Het werkt in de basis eenvoudig. Je zet een portaal op via een website waar rechters en advocaten toegang hebben om een aangevoerd conflict op te lossen. Deze zaken kunnen door iedereen ingevoerd worden. Men maakt gewoon een gratis registratie, voert het geschil in en het komt automatisch bij de rechters en advocaten terecht die zich erover zullen buigen.

Welke mogelijkheden zijn er allemaal op het internet.

Bij internet oplossingen denkt men vaak alleen maar aan webshops, forums, blogs en de normale website om een bedrijf of instelling te promoten. Maar er is meer mogelijk.

Wat denkt u bijvoorbeeld van een digitaal systeem om facturen te verwerken? U maakt in uw database een factuur aan en de factuur wordt automatisch geplaatst op een beveiligd gedeelte van het internet waarbij de klant geheel automatisch een mail krijgt dat de factuur klaar staat en gedownload kan worden.

Een andere oplossing kennen we allemaal wel. Het bestellen van visitekaartjes via het internet. Je logt in, kiest een bestaand ontwerp en besteld met een simpele muisklik de kaartjes.

Maar er zijn nog meer mogelijkheden. Wat te denken van een digitaal systeem waarbij je als redactie van een krant de gehele inhoud op een beveiligd gedeelte zet waarbij redacteuren de mogelijkheid krijgen om hun artikelen in te voeren en te wijzigen. Zodra de redacteur zijn artikel klaar heeft krijgt de eindredacteur een bericht dat het artikel in de wachtrij staat en kan zodoende goedkeuring geven om het artikel te plaatsen. Of niet natuurlijk.

Nog ééntje dan. Wat dacht u van een online rechtbank. Stelt u zich maar eens voor. u heeft last van de boom van uw buurman en wil die verwijderd hebben. Nu moet u daarvoor naar de rechter en een dure advocaat. Dat kan uiteraard net zo goed digitaal gedaan worden. U voert uw klacht in op een website. Uw klacht wordt opgevangen door advocaten en deze sturen u een mail dat zij die boom wel graag willen laten verwijderen. De advocaat vraagt vervolgens om gegevens van de boom, voert deze in en stuurt de zaak naar het gedeelte voor de rechters.

Daar pakt een rechter de zaak op. Hij geeft de advocaten van beide partijen de mogelijkheid om online hun pleidooien in te voeren en de zaak is na een paar weken geklaard met een digitale uitspraak.

Er zijn dus nog mogelijkheden genoeg.

Digital designing of flexible printing products

The digital area is continuing developing. Many software developers are aware that the possibilities of software don’t have reached their limit yet.

Many users of software are not aware of al these options available regarding software. They bought in recent years a software package, mastered it and keep on using this software. The simply stick to that package they know and are not aware of all these options available.

A good example is the introduction of Adobe InDesign. At the period this package was introduced the DTP workflows where completely dominated by Quark Xpress and many graphical designers where very sceptic towards the new Adobe software. For them Adobe was Photoshop and Illustrator and that was it.

But the reality became different. When Adobe introduced InDesign version 2 containing major improvements Quark Xpress was smashed out of the market within one year. A complete domination of Adobe on the DTP work floors was the result.

On the internet there are many website owners who are have become aware of the possibilities of the internet. One of this are of course the webshops which where even able to kill major shop formula’s such as Neckermann who didn’t step into this market soon enough.

Many people think that the digital area means the end of many physical products but the contrary is true. Some markets can profit from the developments in the digital area. One of them is the poly mailer bag market. Due to the rise of these webshops this market expanded very quickly the recent years because all these products ordered at the web shops also have to be shipped. Those poly bags are so common now that for many flexible printers this market is even their main one.

Digitale mogelijkheden in de rechtspraak

Het digitale tijdperk geeft nogal wat mogelijkheden tegenwoordig. Het startte in de jaren 90 van de vorige eeuw toen men voor het eerst de mogelijkheden van email in begon te zien en de eerste webpagina’s die wereldwijd in gebruik werden genomen.

Die ontwikkelingen zijn nog veel verder gegaan en iemand zou al snel kunnen denken dat de limieten wel zo’n beetje bereikt zijn. Het tegendeel is waar.

Het is zelfs zo dat Nederland op het gebied van IT innovatie een beetje begint achter te lopen. Dat is jammer. Want er zijn nog meer dan genoeg mogelijkheden om te innoveren in online oplossingen. Oplossingen die voor een behoorlijke reductie kunnen zorgen van de kosten die nu nog gemaakt worden.

Eén van die oplossingen is bijvoorbeeld het procederen via een online oplossing. Zo’n e-court kan dan gemakkelijk fungeren als een digitale rechtbank waarbij beide partijen hun pleidooien via een site uploaden die dan vervolgens door een rechter worden nagekeken en beoordeeld. Voor kleine zaken kan dit een hele goede oplossing zijn om de rechtspraak meer betaalbaar te maken en ook sneller te laten verlopen. Je hoeft immers niet te wachten tot er plaats is in de rechtbanken.

Deze digitale rechtbank geeft aan dat de mogelijkheden betreffende digitale oplossingen nog lang niet zijn uit-ontwikkeld.

Nederland geeft ruim baan aan innovatie in de rechtspraak

In Den Haag, de stad van vrede en recht, is een Nederlandse innovatie bekroond met de wereldwijde plek in de top 3. In het Vredespaleis behaalde e-court in 2011 de derde plaats in deze wereldwijde verkiezing in de categorie `succesvolle innovaties` in het rechtsbestel. Dat is natuurlijk heel bijzonder, maar ook goed nieuws.

Het online regelen van conflicten en het verkrijgen van uitspraken van een rechter kan inmiddels digitaal. En dat is hard nodig in deze moderne tijden, waarin burgers en bedrijven dagelijkse met elkaar overeenkomsten sluiten. Zoveel vragen en conflicten die kunnen ontstaan, kan de publieke rechtspraak eenvoudigweg niet meer aan. De overheidsrechters klagen steen en been over hun werkdruk. Tot aan de Hoge Raad aan toe.

Design of a stand up pouch

The design of today’s products have changed a lot because of the digital developments. But still there are a lot of possibilities to be unveiled.

Let’s go back a few decades. I remember when I was at the Graphical School in Amsterdam I entered the design study to become a graphical designer. In those day’s designing was mostly handwork. We used pen and ink to draw the letter, glued pictures and text on a sheet and the sheet was used only as a reference for the printing company. Scanning a photo was done by cylindric machines where you had to attach the photo on. Text was made by linotype setters which outputted as photo paper text sheets.

A big difference from today with applications such as Photoshop, Indesign and Illustrator. Scanning photo’s has become totally unnecessary because of the digital camera’s. But still there are many developments going on the design industry.

Let’s take for example a stand up pouch. This product which is a common used flexible plastic packaging item, is not the same as a folder of a newspaper because it’s a 3D object. When designing in Adobe Illustrator the designer must have an idea how the package will look like when you work on your screen. Of course the printer can give a drawing of the package folded out but still the design is just a flat image.

Printed circuit board manufacturer

To find a suitable printed circuit board manufacturer is not that easy. Especially because these manufacturers are mostly found in Asia whereby China is by far the largest producer of printed circuit boards in the world.

Manufacturing a printed circuit board is not that easy. The steps in a pcb fabrication process are steps which can not be corrected and mistakes are very likely hard to find. Mostly when a pcb board is not working it shows up when the consumer starts to find out his device is not working the way it should.

Therefore those steps in the production process are so important. And therefore finding a suitable printed circuit board manufacturer is one of the most important steps a company needs to make when they need a printed circuit board.

Flexible packaging on rolls

Flexible packaging can be produced in many variations and most of the time the finished package is what will be presented in the shops. But food and cosmetic companies also demands other types of delivery. This because these companies use many automated systems to fill the packages with their content.

For this many food and cosmetic packaging companies use the packaging on rolls. These rolls are implemented in their workflows so the machines can automatically fill the packages. To produce these packages the printing companies specialized in food packaging are investing a lot in new machines to produce those packages on the roll as effective as possible.

Especially because many of those packages must have an output of a tube with a glued part on the back. The process is a followed. First the printing machine is printing the design on the plastic. This can be one sided but also two sided. This printing process is done on root machines. It means the machine is not printing sheets but a complete roll. Just the same concept as newspapers are printed. The second step is to add this roll to a special folding and gluing machine. In fact this machine makes a very long tube from this printed roll and delivers it also on a roll. During this folding the backside will be heated and glued so the tube is complete.

The finished rolls simply are fitted in a machine at the food and cosmetic companies, the bottom side will be cut and glued, the content is added and the top can be closed. All done automatically by machines. More information can be read here.

Import uit China

Waar moet je allemaal op letten als je wilt importeren uit China? Dat is een vraag die velen zich afvragen als ze de eerste stap maken met het importeren uit China.

China is niet het gemakkelijkste land om zaken in te doen. Velen doen dit af als een cultuur verschil maar dit is het eigenlijk niet. Het komt er op neer dat de Chinezen nu éénmaal een andere achtergrond hebben dan wij in het westen. Die achtergrond betekent in veel gevallen een achterstand in ervaring in het zakendoen in het moderne zakenleven. Veel Chinese fabrikanten lopen hierdoor ook orders mis. Een grote zwakte al zou men dat niet snel zeggen gezien de economische groei van het land.

Welke adviezen zijn zinvol? Het beste is het om gewoon uzelf te blijven. Chinezen pakken vrij snel op wanneer u een spel speelt en dit zullen u snel wantrouwen.

Een ander advies is om uw zaken zo goed mogelijk op orde te hebben. Chinezen maken niet of nauwelijks gebruik van ICT oplossingen en verspelen daardoor veel tijd bij het maken van offertes. Maak het voor de Chinezen zo gemakkelijk mogelijk. Maak bijvoorbeeld gebruik van order management systemen waar de Chinezen zelf de prijzen later op kunnen invullen. Gebruik deze systemen ook voor het productie proces als dit mogelijk is.

Een andere aanrader is om binnen uw order management systeem een taalmodule te gebruiken. U kunt dan uw specificaties in het Nederlands invullen. Print u de aanvraag uit voor uw Chinese partner dan kunt u in die taalmodule inbouwen dat u voor een Chinese versie kunt kiezen. In Filemaker zijn deze opties vrij gemakkelijk in te bouwen. U maakt voor elk product drie velden, een Nederlands, een Engels en een Chinees veld. Het enige dat u moet doen is het Chinese veld laten vertalen door een Nederlands Chinese vertaler en het meeste werk is gedaan.
